    New SIS social media email!

SIS Membership Survey will close at the end of the month!

As we move into the fall season we are reminded of the amazing, and sometimes dangerous, world we live in. Whether it be hurricanes, volcanos, forest fires, or floods, the US has seen its share of extreme weather this year. Our hearts and prayers go out to all affected. As we struggle with helping those at home, we are reminded about patients all around the world. With any extreme weather condition, an increase in surgical infections often soon follows.

September 13,2018 was “World Sepsis Day”. In keeping with our global health initiatives, the SIS welcomes our new “Global Health” webpage, where we will highlight areas of interest related to surgical infections throughout the world. We welcome you to send content you would like to see posted and/or sent out on social media about global surgical infection news, or really any topic of interest to surgical infection society members to  SurgInfSocmedia@gmail.com . Please include any non-copywrited pictures, links/PDFs to articles, websites links, or simply give us the news.

Also, a reminder to all SIS members…if you have not completed the SIS membership survey, please do so. Your opinion is very important to helping shape the future of the SIS.  If you have not received a link to the SIS membership survey in your email, please contact Diane at dbac66@aol.com to check that we have your correct email address. The survey will close at midnight EST Sunday September 28, 2018.
