| Changes in SIS Leadership |
During the Business Meeting Dr. Henri Ford thanked the Society for the opportunity to serve as President and welcomed Dr. Pamela Lipsett as the incoming President for 2011-2012. The SIS thanks Dr. Ford for a phenomenal effort as President. He has stabilized the organization. The new President-Elect is Robert Sawyer. Ping Wang is councilor. All officers, counselors, committee chairs and members are listed on the website with respective email addresses.

| SIS Fellowship Application Timelines |
The Fellowship Application deadline is Friday, January 13, 2012 (received by Dr. Evan Nadler’s office). Final recommendations will be sent to the SIS Foundation followed by notification of Fellowship Award decisions to all applicants. Fellowship Award winners will be announced during the 2012 meeting. The project start date is July 1, 2012. The application process and forms can be found at the SIS web site under Prevention (Research & Education).

32nd Annual Surgical Infection Society Meeting will be held at Four Seasons Hotel-Dallas, Texas on April 18th-21st, 2012. This will be an exciting venue with exclusive use of the facility for registrants. Information regarding registration and reservations for this meeting will be coming soon to the SIS web site. All SIS members should mark their calendars and plan to attend this important Society meeting. A draft meeting program is enclosed for your review.

The 2011 Call for Abstracts for the 2012 SIS Meeting will open October 1st. The Abstract deadline is December 5th, 2011- at 23:59 Eastern Time. All completed submissions will be forwarded to the Abstract Review Committee. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact John E.
